A hotel based on the Game of Thrones, entirely made of snow and ice, opened in Lapland

A hotel based on the Game of Thrones, entirely made of snow and ice, has opened in the Finnish province of Lapland. Its construction was carried out by Lapland Hotels in conjunction with the HBO channel, which created the series.

350 tons of ice and 20 million kilograms of snow were spent on the construction of the hotel. Guests were only advised to stay for one night, because the rooms always had a temperature of -5 ° C. The theme hotel will work until April 2018.

The hotel has a total of 10 rooms with several snow patterns depicting white walkers, direwolves or ice dragons. A night in one of them costs $ 400, which includes the cost of a sleeping bag to lie on a bed of snow.
